The Sound of the Wind
"Sonic Wind"
released in November 2012, is an ode to my journey of self-realization through indigenous wisdom.
This album weaves the healing power of music with Andean rhythms and my rock-infused style. It features 4 traditional Andean covers and 4 original compositions, all resonating with the essence of my spiritual name, Soniko Waira, meaning "The sound of the wind."
This album is a musical offering, a blend of ancient and modern, a sonic journey to transformation.

"13 Songs to the Center of the Heart" – a vision nurtured over four transformative years. In the crucible of crafting the foundation of my school of shamanic arts, this project emerged, a testament to my commitment to healing and unity.
Picture a grand theater in the heart of Quito, Ecuador. There, the curtain rises to a transformative experience woven through the threads of music and cacao medicine. The intention: "to Inspire Healing and Harmony within the human heart. From Ecuador to the World."
These 13 songs, each a prayer and a message, are a culmination of my deepest aspirations. They transmit the call to heal, to harmonize, and to reconnect with the essence that unites us all. This songs are the prayer through which I weave my purpose – "to open the heart of humanity to see and create the most beautiful world we know is possible."
But this is just the beginning. This experience will be captured and woven into a live album, a resonating gift for the world. A reminder of unity, even amidst our diversity.
For this venture, I call upon the conscious souls who understand the transformative might of cacao and music. Those who nurture their communities, those who stand as guardians of sacred space. I invite you to become co-creators, to infuse this vision with your energy.

⚡️My Story
My journey as a musician ignited when I was just 16, a young dreamer with melodies echoing in my heart. Those initial steps were humble, playing alongside friends in various projects that while not grand, sparked the flame of creativity within me. It wasn't until the birth of my solo project, "La Tripulacion," that the crescendo of my musical expedition began to unfold.
With my solo endeavor, the stage was set for an odyssey into the depths of sound and self-expression. Armed with the skills garnered from a sound program at IAVQ college, I could now bring to life the symphonies residing within me. It was a pivotal juncture that granted me the tools and knowledge to sculpt my own sonic landscapes.
"La Tripulacion" took its first breath, a solo project conceived with a surge of passion and the commitment to craft musical stories from my soul. And then, the stars aligned, and two of my creations, "Lento, Despacio" and "Epocalipsis" - a sublime collaboration with my dear friend Suzi - were launched into the world. They found their way onto the airwaves of "La Metro," a revered radio station in Quito. The show "Prohibido prohibir," hosted by the wonderful Mayra Benalcazar, became the vessel through which my melodies reached eager ears.
It was a time of enchantment, a surreal dance with destiny's tune. But as life's chapters unfold, so too did my story. A new chapter took me to Canada, a land of uncharted melodies and infinite possibilities. With that shift, my musical odyssey embarked on a new trajectory, the strains of change echoing in every note.
And so, the story continues, as my melodies traverse continents, carrying the essence of my beginnings while intertwining with the harmonies of my newfound home.

"Trip Soniko"
Released in 2010, is a compelling musical compilation that weaves together the essence of my journey through its various EPs.
Fusing the dynamic elements of Hardcore rock and Trip hop, this album introduced a genre I coined as "Trip core" - a reflection of my transformative path and the awakening of the inner warrior.
Spanning through time, "Trip Soniko" captures the evolution of my music. From "Renacer 2001," an EP marked by Hardcore rock and Trip hop synergy, to "Todo Comienza 2003," where acoustic and electronic elements intertwine, signifying my initiation into a conscious path.
"De un lobo para la luna 2005" marked my migration to Canada and was conceived amidst the embrace of love and the revelation of a sacred vision during my first vision quest. These songs, etched with heartfelt emotions, became a cornerstone of the album.
The journey wasn't without its challenges, and I'm indebted to my cherished friends, Giarlos Cabrera and Tote Neira, for their unwavering support during the re-recording process - a feat to bring back some of the original recordings that were lost.
"Trip Soniko" is a testament to the passage of time and the rhythmic beat of transformation. It encapsulates my growth, my heart's whispers, and my pursuit of creative expression.
"Electro Trip"
Asnapshot from the early days of my journey as a music producer. This EP captures the fervent excitement of diving into uncharted territories of sound and technology.
The vibrant beats and electronic melodies are a reflection of the emotions that fueled my creative fire during that time. With each track, I embraced the freedom to experiment and innovate, translating my inner experiences into up-tempo electronic compositions.
"Electro Trip" embodies the essence of a budding artist, eager to express and explore the limitless realms of sonic possibilities. It's a testament to the passion that continues to drive my musical evolution.
